GRAPHIC PICS of my day learning to caponize

First shot shows the "neutral" head and I was able to capture some of the essence of his coloring

In the second shot he is side by side with a 10 month old Mohawk RR cockerel. I thought it shows nice width on both. You can also see the little hen that is his mother. The little hen with the orange neck in the background.

He is known as Percy to us. Not real passive as has been described for some capons. Not aggressive but does stand his ground especially when it comes to food. His mother is the dominant hen as well.

Took another pic of our capon today. He does seem to be putting on weight. I think he turned 1yo in Oct.'14. Nice contrast in the head of a yearling cockerel and the capon. I didn't get a shot of his "bum" but he has a wide, fully-feathered rump end just as if you were looking at a hen.

I'm putting an order together for capon tools. I will place the order on January 15th. If you are interested in getting a double set, single set, or disinfecting box, please send me a PM. I probably won't be placing another order again for six months, so contact me early if you are interested in having your own set of Chinese capon tools.

The double set has tools for little cockerels as well as big roosters. This set has spoons. The scalpel tool has a straight blade.

The single set has tools that can be used for smaller cockerels as well as roosters, though some find the rib dilator a little small for mature roosters. This set does not have spoons. The blade on the scalpel tool is rounded.

Disinfecting boxes are made of aluminum, and the box these tools fit in the best is the 50ml size.

Stay warm and dry, everyone. Oklahoma is a soggy mess right now, with ice lurking on bridges and overpasses. Here's a photo of one of my capons braving the cold. He spends most of his time lounging in the barn.

I am debating on working on my older fellow again. I don't want to put him through any unnecessary trauma, but his only other option is the freezer. I just have to work up the courage!
I still have to do the little guy that I didn't get to last time. I think I will work on them Wed.

Any tips on the older roo? He is about 4 months and pretty high strung.

I will post some pics of my little golden capon later; he is turning out to be a total sweetheart and may have a permanent spot in the flock!

@Poco Pollo that Cream Legbar is just a beauty! When you get a chance could you post a pic of our meanie, Noodles? I'd love to see how that big comb of his turned!!!

I took some quick pics this morning. First is my 4 month capon. He is filling out beautifully.

Next is my 12 week old capon that I did a couple of weeks ago. He has grown A LOT since I caponized him. He is the middle bird, I just realized he is in between his parents LOL (the BR hen and the BB roo)!

This pic is the same Capon beside his mother. He is such a sweet bird, I may decide to keep him if he stays sweet!

We are the patent holder of this tools. There are many counterfeit products on the market, for learning the caponizing is bad.
I will be exposed on YOUTUBE, learning CAPONIZING videos. Welcome attention.
