Class was wonderful! Not everyone who signed up was able to attend, but sometimes a smaller group makes for a better lesson. Today's capons went to new homes with full crops and lots of energy. There were a couple of slips, but we didn't lose any.How did the class go? Wish I had been able to go.
I'm pleased as can be that our newest student completed two full capons, completely on her own, with skill and confidence. She had just a teeny weeny bit of help on the first three, but the last two were all hers. Way To Go!
Because we were all so busy with what we were doing, nobody took any pictures. I'll post pictures of some of the capons that are staying with me. Barred Rocks, Rhode Island Red, White Leghorn, Brown Leghorn, and Delawares were a pleasure to work on. The Silver-laced Wyandottes were more difficult. I'll avoid that breed in the future.
