GRAPHIC PICS of my day learning to caponize

How's everybody doing with the weather? It's nice today in NW Louisiana. Though I understand it's nasty down south here. I have my first birds coming Mar 20 and at least 1 doz will be males. So I'm going to be prepared. Got my tools and DVD and have been watching it. Not saying I'm not a little scared going lone wolf on this, but education is a great thing. I feel prepared. We'll see.

For those who ordered tools, I just got an email from my guy in China. Two things slowed our order. First, the Chinese New Year celebrations caused slow or no service from some vendors, but eventually everything was acquired and packed for delivery to Oklahoma. Second, customs thought the package contained human surgical instruments and the package was marked as DO NOT EXPORT. My contact instructed the customs agents to open, examine, and repack the box, to show that the tools are for agricultural purposes only. Once done, the box started moving again.

So, the box is now in Hong Kong. It should be on its way to the U.S. soon. -------- To the folks on the thread: Again, sorry for the delay. Thanks for your patience. Maybe by the end of next week I'll have tools to repackage and mail. Below is a cut and paste from my recent email contact.

I am still here. My work changed the computer settings now I can't post from work, just read. A lot of times I read something I would post on, but then by the time I actually get home forget where I read it or that I was going to post a comment.

Had a good day at work today, actually made a difference in a man's life, those days remind me how much I love my job and get me through the other days!!!! The days of the drama kings and queens, drunks and druggies.

Yes NN are good for meat, eggs, and great to caponize, less feathers in the area. Also great to process b/c of no hair to have to singe, also great for hot climates.

Good to know. I definitely will get some. Where I'm going to put them is unknown. I have 43 or so coming next month. Scrambling to get things built.
