Good luck with your last one.I would skip the ice pack deal the less time you are messing with them the less they should stressed.Seems like time you could be spending getting done so they can eat.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any poultry specialist in Colorado who could caponize a rooster. I live in Littleton and have a 5 month old cockerel who we'd like to caponize.
The deed may well be done by now but I have to wonder about icing. Do you think it truly has benefits? If it turns out to actually help the bird, it might be worth considering.Just about to get started on my 4th rooster ever. The other 3 I did Monday are doing splendid, although the first one is air puffing pretty badly... It just keeps puffing up after I puncture it, any advice on that?
Here's the poor lil sucker I'm gonna do once he's finished icing.
Ignore the Popsicles, it's too dang hot in the house with no AC.
