Grass and greens

I can not figure out how to simply ask a question, so I hit 'reply' and I know that is not right. How do you just post a question that is not related to a particular message but is on the topic?
My question is - is there anyone here who feeds their chickens dandelions or chickweed? That stuff is all over my yard, but I don't know how much I should give them, or how often. They are in an 8x8 pen due to the abundance of predators in my area. Thank you.

Mine regularly trim the dandelions while outside, and chickweed may have received its' name from the fact that chooks seem to love it!!! If you know for sure what the weeds are, try it out, offer them a small torn up bit!

Thank you - not 100% sure, but comparing the weeds to photos I see online, that's what they are. I will eat some myself first, then if I do not get a belly-ache I will try them on my birds.

My ducks love dandelions. Of course, they want me to pick them first...shred them and float them on a fresh bowl of water...
