Grass - before and after chickens

Just wanted to share the dramatic turnaround that my grass has experienced in one ear from having chickens. Last year I was at the point that I wanted to get a sod cutter and start over with new grass. So glad I just let nature and my ladies do their thing! Anyone else had similar results?

Do you mow your lawn our do you just rely on your chickens?

I mow but I try and keep it relatively high so that the clippings help decompose the chicken litter.

I need your chickens to talk to mine. I have not a single blade of grass. I have sod but I have to keep a wire mesh cage over it so they can only eat what grows through the mesh. One stinking 2x4 piece of sod.
