Grass clippings as food

Can I throw fresh grass clippings from the ride on mower from our chemical free lawn into the run for the chickens to eat? They love anything green!

Yes - our flock loves mowing day because they get a fresh batch of clippings dumped in the run to dig through.

Yes, if you let them free range they'll eat the grass anyway.

Great, thanks. I know if they free range they would eat the grass anyway, I just wasn't sure if the mower would somehow make the grass unsafe to eat somehow.
