Grass - dream or reality?

So my pen is about 1000 square feet? I have 6 hens and two ducks (the ducks have a little corner of the pen)

I’m not sure how I’m going to rearrange yet but I think I have enough room for two pens for rotation...

I’ve been looking at grazing grass, so it’s a mixture of herbs clover and hardy grasses. I know 100% grass is will probably never happen but I was hoping for maybe a little bit of greenery haha, even if it just attracts a few more bugs for them and the pen might look a bit more attractive haha ...

With 6 chickens and 1000 sq ft, it'll work as long as you can manage their access as I noted previously. I have 4 chickens in 540 sq ft.

I can't speak for the ducks as I don't have experience with them.

And yes it does look nicer to have a little green!
