Make sure you offer grit so they can break down all the greens.

Try to keep the clippings relatively short, especially if they aren't used to eating grass, so they don't get very long pieces. Chickens aren't good at being able to tear apart longer grass clippings and will try to choke them down regardless of length.

Long grasses can cause impacted crops too...just saying.

Untreated grass clippings for chickens is fine. Remember though that clippings are over rated. A flock that is confined will look at the grass clipping as a good way to relieve the monitory as much or more than seeing your lawn clippings as a tasty, or nutritious treat.
