Hey guys,

How do you keep on top of growing grass where your geese are?

Ours eat it so quickly it’s becoming impossible to keep up 😂

We’re going to do some grass growing cycling and fencing off parts of the garden whilst it grows back using organic fertiliser.

Keen to hear any tips or advice you have 🙏

That's odd.. I have no trouble with the grass in my geese yard. They trim it oh so neatly!
But my duck/chicken yard is dirt/mud/sand/gravel/mulch/&outdoor carpets, lol. (I keep them separate - or there would be zero grass for my geese)

Out of curiosity, how big is your goose yard, and how many geese do you have?

I have been battling my chickens destroying the grass for a while now. I have tried sectioning off and growing only to have them tear it up rather quickly. I have read about using hardware cloth and building a raised area for the grass to grow through but some have said they worried about the chickens’ feet getting cut. I was looking for a solution that was easy to install in my chicken tunnels. I found these 1 ft interlocking plastic squares that are raised about a half inch. They are really meant for on a patio near a pool or shower area. I seeded the ground with the hopes that the grass would grow through the holes and it seems to be working! After about a week this is what I got and the chickens are eating it. I had done a test area first and I posted pics of that as well
