Grass?

Would some grass(the kind that you get in the bag of a lawn mover)be ok for the chicks? They dont have any fertiliezer ect.

If you are asking if it is okay to give your chicks lawn clippings.... YES, it is good for them... they love it!!!

Yes, just make sure you empty the bag right away & don't pile it up, scatter it around.
Grass clippings piled up, heat up quickly and start to ferment.

And be careful because grass clippings can be long and cause impacted crop.

I give my little bantams grass......they beg for it.......I have been known to sit and cut it into small pieces...just another sign of chicken madness !

If you can put a mulching blade on your mower it will cutt the grass into smaller pieces and be easier on them. or mow more often so you dont get clippings longer than ~ 1-2 inches.
I'll dump an entire bag of clippings and its gone within a couple of hours (18hens).
