Grateful????? I am.

Half of my yard is flooded this morning.
I'm grateful that my coop is on the OTHER half!

I am grateful that the huge tree that fell accross my fence didn't fall on my coop or run... and so far, my dogs have not tried to get around the tree!

I am grateful that the tornadoes avoided our area...but am praying for all the people who were effected by them.

That my pasture has finally dried out enough that the 60 bales of hay coming tomorrow can be driven right up to the barn & I'll have plenty of help unloading them. Last time I had to schlep 36 bales across the yard two at a time in wheelbarrow and haul them into the barn by myself.

I am grateful that the flood waters that trapped us at home only covered the roads. I am also grateful that the trees that fell did not hit anything. And of course for my family and heavenly Father.

I have the best wife in the world.
The best family a man could ask for.
6 of the most beautiful grand children on earth.
Friends I can count on.
Working on my 30th year for a job I always wanted.
A nice home.
A cool barn.
A mail box full of bills. (that we can afford to pay)
A good dog, that runs away, but always comes home.
And the backyard chicken forum to help solve any chicken issues I may have.

What more could a man want?
