Gravel run need a dust bath?

Our run is made of coarse sand. It looks like my chickens have made depressions for dust bath areas. Should I add a tub of dirt for them to bathe in?

Yes, they need to dust bathe to remove dander, loose feathers, tiny bugs and keep there feathers in prime condition. 6 to 8 inches deep of loose dry dirt will work.
