Does anyone have any ideas for a gravity fed water system? I have everything in place to catch rain water and then dispense but I cant find a low enough valve to shut off once my water is full.

Don't really understand this.
low enough valve
I kind of know what you are trying to achieve, but don't know everything that you do have in place.
Can you post some pix of your setup, up to now.
Would a toilet tank fill valve work for you. They can be adjusted to many different water levels.

You would connect your rain barrel to a short bucket type dispenser with a hose.
There are other options, like attaching a secondary water dish to the bucket also. Let me know if you understand my ideas.

Thanks, I got it fixed I just went with the nipple system.

That sounds good in theory, but in reality it can fail. Low rain totals, and water gets low:idunno. Summer, and water gets too warm:idunno.
I would also like my chickens drinking water with nothing added.:thumbsup
I have some rain barrels that I capture water for my garden use. I simply have the opening covered with window screen fabric. Works to keep mosquitoes from breeding in my case.:old
