Gravity feeder with PVC and a galvanized garbage pail (PICS)

That looks like an awesome feeder! We have about 45 chickens, and we go through about 7 lbs of feed in about ten minutes. I am not sure if I would want to put a whole 50 lb bag in at once, I may end up with some very fat birds, lol

. A question though. Since you started using that feeder, have you noticed if they are eating more, or about the same as they used to?

For the chickens roosting on the top of the can and getting it dirty with poop, etc....try putting a plastic bucket on tip of the lid, upside down. I had that same problem with my storage cans until I did that. Suggested to me by a friend that had chickens in the past....and it works!

Very Nice. Once I get my chicken coop organized and the essentials in it I'll MAKE room for one of these. Thanks for the idea.

great job,I would love to make one of those and put the garbage can in the feed room then run the pvc pipe into the coop....thanks for sharing your idea
