Greasy Chicken Feathers

Chickens have a preening/oil gland (Uropygial gland) at the base of their tail.
A chicken will rub their beak over this gland to get a bit of oil, then distribute it throughout their feathers.

So feathers can feel greasy at times:)

I've never noticed this, but I don't handle my birds a lot.

How
greasy?
Any chance they got under a car...or some other greasy place?
