Yes, my dog leaves my chooks alone, actually protects them, so I wont have someone elses coming in and messing with not only my flock but my kids, and the cows are calving so theres blood and goo all over these new calves and thats an invitation to a dog like bacon is to my husband...I'm going to be watching for him tonight.

I would of caught the dane, looked at the tags, told the owners off, then gave him back, BUT if it happened again he would be "rehomed" at the pound!

Our dogs dont bother our chickens and I wont tollerate someone elses doing it either!

Hindsight is 20/20, in retrospect I know that I should have caught him and looked at his tags. But like I said, if I hadnt scared him off DH would have killed him, as it was I was screaming at DH not to kill him when he fired the bird shot. DH then yelled at me that its my fault if the thing comes back and kills the chooks, but I couldnt let him kill that poor baby!​
