This picture is from a rally where there was hundreds of American flags. But the media made the one guy with the Confederate flag the focal point.

Anyone that thinks that there will never be any racist is just stupid.

Thats why the meme makes no sense. That picture is what, 2 years old. Not a thing to do with walmart or the cakes.

He also asked not to have one at his funeral. Turning down command of the US army to protect his home was the hardest choice he ever made. He lost everything making that choice. He was a lost patriot. Wanted nothing to do with the war before or after an hoped wounds would heal quickly. He was wrong. 150 years later an the south is still talking about secession every few years. I also think he was talking about the CSA government flag not that it matters.

He didn't say "Get rid of it" or Throw it away".

He also did not tell them to go deface the graves of confederate solders. The flag in debate in SC on a memorial. One of the people that died in that shooting voted to put that flag on that memorial.

Not my state so I really have not been keeping up. Pretty sure the flag is not going anywhere though. Takes a three forths vote to remove it. That many people don't want to go home next election.

The point of the meme is that many of the same people crying foul over Walmart's "business decision" to stop selling the Confederate flag were once lauding the "business decision" that the christian bakers should be allowed to make in not serving gay customers. It's a picture with accompanying text, which together illustrate an irony. If you say that the actual photo has nothing to do with walmart or the cakes and thus the meme "makes no sense", then perhaps we should review all the memes posted in this thread for accuracy as well.
