The Confederate Flag and the Civil War are parts of our nation's history. Are we to forget the past? I had ancestors that fought and died on both side of that conflict.

Rather than rewrite history, maybe it would be better if we examined the effects of some of the psychotropic drugs that are being given to some mentally ill folks.

The question of racism would solve itself if certain politicians didn't keep pulling the scab off of this national sore. Dividing one class or one race one against the other is bread and butter of a certain political party.

I would to but I am leaning in the direction of believing it after our county commission meeting being interrupted today by a phone call from our State Senator. The call was about removing "Confederate Battle Flags of Virginia and Tennessee" from the state. He informed our commission chair that we could leave up our war memorial for now.

Now people are now discussing the idea of selling the war memorial to the SCV so it can be used as leverage.


This happened a 5 today.


Also, currently the National park service is removing Confederate related items from the civil war battlefield stores.
