Great Depression of 2016

George Soros made his fortune betting against the British pound. Now it appears that he is doing likewise with the US dollar. I am afraid the amount he funded BLM was a lot more than what was mentioned in that article. http://yournewswire.com/black-lives-matter-produced-by-george-soros/

BLM is doing a great dis service to the twelve per cent of our population that are African or partially African in origin. It appears to the rest of society that Black people want the right to commit crimes with impunity.

The reality of life is that if one flees from the law enforcement official, they will be shot. Cooperating with law enforcement is the answer, but if one is caught doing something they shouldn't they shouldn't resist arrest. Obey lawful orders! Saying "I didn't do nothing" is not a get out of jail free card.

I support the police because they have never broken into my house and stole things. They have never stolen my car or vandalized it. They have never threatened my wife and kids. When I am shopping, I never see them shoplifting things as if they had a God given right to steal.

They have never beaten, robber and raped or killed any of my friends.

The cops don't hang around all night drinking those forty ounce bottles of beer and then breaking the bottles into pieces, and then the next morning complain because the "White folks make us live this way."

The prisons are full of Black folks that are there because they did bad stuff to other Black folks, but they still blame every thing on the White people.

If people want to live a good life, they need to be good people.

Rufus, I agree with all of that. It's easier to blame other people for your "hard luck" than to pull yourself up by the boot straps and do something with your life.

Then again, when you come from nearly nothing, it's awful hard to get a little something. :/

Instead of drinking Mad Dog, maybe they should read a book.

Oh, wait.

Thanks, Obama.

Generally I agree with the both of you, but I don't think it's quite as simple as, 'be a good person if you want a good life'. I do believe that being a good person is central to living a good, happy life, but bad stuff happens to everyone. Life can be exceptionally cruel, regardless of how good a person you are, and some people really don't get a good start.

Maybe because the people looking to buy illegals guns don't even know where their local library is...

When my son was going to the university, he worked part time at a gun shop. Little old ladies would come in and buy some real horrendous fire arms. You just know that they were buying them for some felon. But, they qualified under the law. Those firearms went some where.

I suspect that is the way the cartels in Mexico got so many arms. Thanks to the federal government's "Fast and Furious" program, they can out shoot the police, the Army and the Navy.

I want to know who got the bribes to let that program go forward.

I used to buy gold jewelry at the pawn shop. I would put it on lay a way, and then when the price of gold went up, I would take it out of lay a way and sell it for scrap. That meant that the price was frozen at the time of the lay a way, and the item was safe and secure in their safe, not being stolen from my house.

One day, I was in the pawn shop and about ten guys from the other side were in there looking at guns. They all took their weapons down into the cellar. Next thing I knew was bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. I thought, "They got the Jew, and I am next." I ran for the door, but the clerk said they were just testing the guns.

Those guys all left with their pistols wrapped up in brown paper. As they left, the pawn broker said "Si van a matar alguine, matan Negros."

It gave me the willies.

You get the willies when a door creaks open or when a light bursts. ^ That's on a whole other level lol. That's scary as heck, rufus.

And now there is this: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-...mediately-bring-back-children-studying-abroad

It looks like war! Frankly, I think we should withdraw from the Syrian civil war. Let's get our foot out of that trap and let the Russian bear put its paw in there.
Let them kill off ISIS. They would do a much better job of it than we have. They are not afraid of co lateral damage.

We no longer need the Saudis either. They have been dumping the product trying to kill off the shale production; about forty oil companies have gone bankrupt in the US as a result of their dumping. I think we have had enough of their double dealing.

Those shale deposits are found all around the world. The Arabs' day in the sun is over. We need to get out of the Persian gulf and let them deal with the Iranis. Leave us out of it.

They might dump US dollar denominated investments because the congress over rode Obama's veto relative to law suits against Saudi Arabia over the 9/11 attack. If so, they will have burned their life insurance policy.

I read the other day that the threshold for a market selloff/correction/crash is 17,992.

We're coming up on Oct 1987, and the Dow and S&P charts look IDENTICAL.

Look alive! :)

Futures down to 17,951 as of 9:20 p.m. West coast time. Scary times, no QE1, QE2, etc. to bail out Wall Street at this time. Wonder how this scenario, if it should happen, might affect the election? I'm afraid no financial disaster on the horizon will get the attention of low information voters until it hits them in the pocket book.I got out prematurely when it was under 16,000, converted to cash because I figured 1929 was around the corner and I was about to retire anyway and I am not a risk taker. Bird in the hand is worth two free range chickens in the bush. If a crash occurs before people heavily invested can cash out, there's gonna be a lot of angry people out there. With interest rates pretty much at 1% or less, the only viable option for many was to invest in a bloated stock market that is overpriced and due for a major correction, but the "smart" investors who have friends in the business will dump their stocks before the rest of the investors wake up and smell the coffee.

Here is another opinion: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-12/putin-ally-warns-americans-vote-trump-or-face-nuclear-war

The banksters have run out of tricks. Now, it seems as if they want to take us to war. I doubt we would survive it. The US is dropping fake atomic weapons in the Nevada desert, and the Russians are bringing home their kids that are studying abroad.

Who should I vote for? The candidate that lets people get killed, compromised national security, enabled and protects their pervert spouse, took bribes from just about anyone for favors and buddies up to countries that oppress women and murder gays, or should I vote for the guy that says mean things.

I think I will go with the mean, potty mouth.
