The last time I saw him was on a milk carton, I think....Dennis, where ever you are, read that article. They cannot lie the depression away.

Government bonds? Never knew that was what the EBT card was called these days...
Seriously, this country (and likely the world) is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions. Old Testament (or something from a Tom Clancy novel), real wrath of God (or the divine spirit, or not, you associate with) type stuff. Fire and brimstone (and AGW climate change) coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling (fried clams, anyone?). Forty years of darkness! (The solar grid and windmills ain't cutting it). Earthquakes (fracking induced), volcanoes (has no one thrown a virgin in one recently?)...the dead rising from the grave (to vote). Human sacrifice (April 15th), dogs and cats living together....mass hysteria!.![]()
Detuerteized.? Had to look that up, not on google. I agree with what you are saying. 20 Trillion in debt right now, not counting unfunded pensions and other government liabilities. There is no white knight on a horse coming that will make this all go away in four, eight, or maybe 20 years. If we as a nation are going to get through all this, we need to come together, not be torn apart by this group or that group (identity politics). I've seen the rise of tensions in this country and I fear we may have reached the boiling point. Regardless of who wins this upcoming election, there are many geopolitical changes on the horizon beyond our borders that we cannot (and probably should not) try to control. And sadly, if the bad times should reach fruition there won't be enough safety nets to go around. 1929 will be looked back upon as a golden era compared to a global economy crash where all participants are intertwined economically and will suffer, but not equally.Well, maybe we should be more circumspect in our comments. We don't know what the future holds, and we sure don't want to be Detuerteized.
We are surely heading into some real tough times. How we survive it is up to each of us. I guess we just make up our minds on issues and then vote that way. No matter who wins in this election, we will have a long, hard row to hoe.
I just watched the Vice Presidential debate. It looks like Kaine won it because he got to talk in his time slot and that of Pence. Pence couldn't interrupt Kaine, but Kaine had free use of both of their time. It looks like it was fixed again. Just my opinion.
What do you all think?
