Hemet.. your defense is peoples rights... IF you really believe in peoples rights then your argument is self defeating. If everyone "Has" the right.. then nobody has any rights. Does that make sense? Its impossible to make everyone happy. If you find a rooster to be a violation of your rights or anyone elses on the merit of noise polution than I would question where you live. As previously stated there are many more things in todays modern society that make much more noise then a rooster.

"You have the right to make that choice. But you don't have the right to make someone else's choice."

If you have the right to make that choice then de facto you are making that choice for someone else... If I buy property and have a choice to raise a rooster then I am denying my neighbors the choice of whether or not they want to live next to a rooster. Your argument as such doesnt hold up. Perphaps if you elaborate or re-word it, I could understand your reasoning.

People have the right to live in an area that allows roosters and they have a right to live in an area that restricts roosters. That is the choice. I live in an area with roosters and I have roosters, that was my choice. Some people make the choice to live in track homes, and that's there choice, I would never live in one, and that's my choice. I think some people would have a problem with a rooster 5 feet from their bedroom window.

perhaps you don't understand that if I move into an area that does not permit livestock I of my own free will live there give up some of my free will in order that my neighbors decide to do likewise and we live in harmony. I don't want a pig next to my bedroom window and he does not want a rooster next to his. I don't see how your statement of "de facto making someone else's choice for someone else". You decided to move to where it was prohibited no one forces you to live there and no one forces you to deal with what you don't want to live next to either.

Yall are debating two separate issues.

New regulations being enacted on long time residents v/s someone moving in to somewhere with a long standing regulation.

I am not a fan of the bans cause they make no sense but also cause for the second one to happen then the first one has to have happened.

This is all somewhat off topic though.

both points taken, on a side note I thought the other poster was basing their post on pre-existing regulation, or relaxing of regulation such as allowing chickens (hens only) in cities and towns where they where previously banned.

Considering the snow storm across the nation, I bet those folks that laughed at us for stock piling are trudging through snow drifts begging their neighbors for a roll of toilet paper. Best be prepared.

I read that this morning and was not shocked in the slightest. Our spending is completely out of control and now, we know it will not stop until we are bankrupt.

Canary in the coal mine if there ever was one.

I feel badly for those people who are having to suffer through that bad weather. There are plenty of good people, little old ladies and gentlemen who simply can not afford to put back anything from their paychecks and young folks trying to stay out of debt while they work their way through college, who are suffering.

Preparedness must be made a priority if it is to happen. It is not something that can be put off, particularly if you live in an area prone to disasters. I suppose it comes naturally, as I have always lived in tornado and hurricane prone areas all of my life, so I consider it just another part of living.

SNIPIT "House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) mocked Republicans for their initial inability to guarantee 20 votes for the debt bill once it was clear they could not pass their own. “Isn’t that pathetic that they can only get 18 votes to ensure that their nation can pay its bills?” Hoyer said to reporters."

Pay its bills? This Hoyer guy is a complete idiot. Racking up a higher credit cad bill to pay a credit card bill is not paying bills. Its financial suicide!

I have just emailed all my state reps.. this is just banana's

Default is not going to be nice at any time, but it would be much worse the higher the tab gets. Is it better to bite the bullet now, or later?

I think many are hoping we can catch up, but there are no spending cuts and the higher the limit, the more our government purchases.
