Last year we got some 'gold stars' for their eggs, they were fantastic last fall. Lots of dbl yolk eggs! I was quite impressed. But I got to thinking, with them laying so many eggs, will their calcium levels get depleted at an earlier age? I had two eggs from them this morning, one had no shell at all, and the other was so thin my fingers almost went thru it. Don't think I'll get them again, or maybe put them in with the noodles at one year of age! Anyone else notice this type of a problem with one year old birds? They do have calcium available free choice, and when I do get a thin shell, I put a handfull in their feed. Just cirious, thanks
