Great Pyreneese fur troubles

Sounds like the time I tried one of those anti-flea gels on my pyr. It was one of those that you put in a line down the dog's back and it's supposed to distribute itself throughout the coat. Well, all it did was mat her fur, so I had to cut it off. It was summer, and I had to put sunblock on her back for a few weeks while it grew back.

Thanks for all your input. He's only gone to professional groomers (using professional dog grooming products) - some are better than others, of course. I was just hoping to make the job easier for the next grooming visit. I do work at it a little every day. I'll just keep at it til the next paycheck (it will cost $100 from the best groomer I've found so far).

sounds right.. i charge $80- $150 for a GRT pyr..
