Greater Prairie Chicken

I just saw these on CBS Sunday Morning and was just amazed. They were very pretty. Are they actually considered a true chicken? Has anyone ever seen them before?

They are very pretty. They are not a true chicken, they are related to grouse which are all interesting. I have never personally seen them but on another forum I am on there are people that breed them.

They would be considered a game bird, like quail or grouse, not a chicken.
