This was my Mottled Cochin Bantam rooster Roscoe. I lost him to a fox summer 2013.


And this is my flock master Bruce. He is a Brown Red Cochin project rooster and was around 10 months in these photos. He is nearly 3 years old now.

Bruce is beautiful, but what is a project rooster?

A project roosted is a color of rooster that is not yet recognized by the APA in that breed. So it is still a project trying to perfect the color so the APA will recognize it. He is very close to being a true Brown Red except for the black blotches on his chest. Thanks for your compliment though. He is ultimately my favorite chicken we have.
