"Oh, well maybe I should yell it a bit louder so she would actually pay attention." she said. "But, yes, I do love my firepower. I can create it, control it, but I can't let flames leap around me for a long time or I'll get burnt. Fire immunity is a Hephaestus thing. I can have it in my palm, or elsewhere on my skin, for a little less than a minute, and that's it."

"Hecate," Finn asked, "Do you ever think about your kid? Like-- being a goddess and all, and not being able to have communication with them, what is it like? Do you ever want to talk to her? Between us, my Mom speaks to me sometimes. When I need it most. If it's too personal, I understand..." Finn's voice trailed off.

Hecate looked at her, unfathomable sadness in her eyes. "some of us think of our children as but dirt. I love my children as any human mother loves hers. I hope you never feel the pain I feel for lamia. I love her so much, but hera turned her into a monster." she whispered, a single tear sliding down her face

Dante looked at her funny. "very well. We shall get along as long as you do not threaten samael. He is mine." he rumbled.

"Okay... sure. he can be yours, but you'll have to share him with Lexi!" Ashley said as she turned back to human. Lexi blushed furiously and tugged on Sam's hand. "Come on, let's go eat dinner." she said.

Finn slipped her arm around Hecate. "Is it a curse that we can break?" asked Finn, "Cause if it is, that's our next quest, no doubt about it."

Sam smiled, embarrassed that Lexi heard about his condition, and worried that she would fear him or shun him.

Finn slipped her arm around Hecate. "Is it a curse that we can break?" asked Finn, "Cause if it is, that's our next quest, no doubt about it." 

Hecate smiled sadly, shocked by the care that a mortal could show her. "I don't know. It would require breaking heras spirit, which would be no simple task. I could not aske children to do it."

"maybe. But she would almost certainly seek vengeance on all involved." Hecate said, smiling sadly. "it's not a problem for me, but she woud ruin your lives."

Acacia scoffed, "Yes, because I live the life of a fairytale princess. Come on, this quest is to near ending already. Nothing sounds more amusing than that."
