He thumped his tail on the ground, and gently pushed lexi to the ground with his nose. He then curled up around her like a sleepy puppy.

Lexi leaned against his broad chest, stroking his fur. "So we're sleeping in the woods tonight?" she said, talking mentally to Sam. "well, that's fine, but if Dirtface (meaning Gaea) attacks, it's your fault!" she thought to him, laughing.

He whimpered, talking to her in a mental voice that sounded like his, but dark, distorted and rough. "I am sorry... I transformed after dark, I can't change back till dawn." he thought to her shamefully.

let's sleep in my cabin, we shouldn't have any problems unless someone sees me going into my cabin followed by a werewolf. She thought. with that, she stood and brushed the pine needles out of her hair. shall we go?

He rse to his feet, his black shadow consuming her dwarfed form "sure...." he thought, wondering if he could fit in the door, and amazed at how clearly he thought when she was around.

Lexi smiled at his towering form. this way! she thought cheerily. If she thought it was odd walking to to her cabin, in the dark, followed by a werewolf, she didn't let it on.
