My backyard is a dusty duck poopy mess right now. All the spring plants like minors leaf lettuce are done. I want to plant a bunch of areas with something really durable that is good for ducks, so they have green resting places all over the yard. I don’t believe in grass. Any suggestions for good things to plant as ground cover? I’ve heard white clover. Anything else?

I just found this, which is for chickens, but hopefully also good for ducks. Thoughts? Central coast. https://www.naturesseed.com/pasture-seed/poultry-pastures/pacific-southwest-poultry-forage-blend/

Whatever you decide to plant realize that you are going to have to block off that area until the plants are well established.

Yes, of course. My plan is to make a bunch of different green areas for them to rest/forage, and then I’ll rotate them every couple days so the plants can recover. And of course that won’t start until the plants are established.
