Dear Count, where would all these fruits and veggies that you so ardently wave at us be, without the green plants that gave birth to them? The only red thing that I can think of that grows without a green parent plant is a type of mushroom, and believe me, you don't want to eat that (extremely toxic!) Cucumbers are delicious when green, they don't turn red, but I certainly wouldn't want to eat one that had turned yellow! Cabbage, broccoli, many types of leafy greens are healthy and tasty when green. Limes, Honeydew melons, and even pistachios are green when ripe.

Fire is red - you can't eat that. In some places, dirt is red; you can't eat that. Many kinds of flowers are red; though pretty to look at, you can't eat them, either. And sadly, when leaves turn red, they are dying, and the plant must throw them away to survive until warmer weather returns and the time comes for it to be clothed in green again.

Well, whoop-de-do. Redorps can see the color red. Not surprising, problems seeing color are really rare in females. You should be relieved, Redorps, at least you know that that part of your brain works!
