Got trapped in my shed this past friday due to rain. It rained to hard to go a mere 100 feet.I would have been a drowned rat.DW and Youngest DD watched from the house and laughed as I found a 5 gallon bucket to sit on and wait.

How long did you wait?

For some reason, this reminded me of an incident that happened to Hubby and I many years ago. Part of our church's parking lot tends to flood when it rains, we're talking a foot or more in places. We had a small pickup that would stall if you even showed it a puddle. For some reason, just taking the distributor cap off and putting it back on would get it to start right up again - I don't understand these things enough to know why that worked. One Sunday, we arrived shortly after a downpour, and the lot was a lake, as usual. That stupid truck stalled right in the middle of it. Hubby and I laughed at the ridiculousness of the situation for a moment, then I said "Pop the hood," and took my sandals off. "Are you serious?" he said. "Of course." I said, opening the door. So a good number of the members of our church were treated to the vision of a young woman in her Sunday best poking around under the hood of a truck, calf-deep in muddy water, while her husband sat clean and dry behind the wheel. You can bet he took a ribbing for that!

Yesterday I returned from training dogs and was putting dogs into their pens. Put Sy away and went to the back to put Max E in his pen when I heard a loud crash. A fairly large dead tree limb had fallen down, crashed on Sy's pen right where I was just standing. Not a breath of wind in the air. My Guardian Angels protecting me or the other side trying to get me?

Yeah, I know that this is not GREEN, but I've been wanting to post about it and this thread needs rejuvenation. Not 'bumping', just rejuvenation.
