It's a soggy, gray morning here, and I'm feeling bluer than Blue (for the record, Blue is our black Lab). No reason, just the weather, and I'm trying to think of something fun to lift my mood. I'll probably start by cleaning something - while it may not be "fun", the sense of having gotten something accomplished always helps!

On the upside, I held a bluebird fledgling in my hands today. His parents weren't happy about it, but I wanted to get him away from the house. We have an outside cat that is a very good hunter, and I don't want her to get him. Once again, no pics - I wasn't about to take the camera out in the rain.

Summy, hot and humid here. Want to trade. Busy always beats the blues for me.

It is a balmy 75 degrees here in the wilds of West "By God" Virginia. Sun shining, very little humidity, birds singing, rooster crowing....

That dang rooster crows from dawn to dusk!! Mainly when he sees me or my car. I have to go out and tell him to hush to get him to hush! It's absolutely beautiful out and here I am stuck having to go to bed so I can work tonight.

I wish I had some vacation days left!!

I very luckily never worked shift work -- good thing. I have chicken blood - to sleep at dusk and up at daybreak. No, Em, I do not crow.
