Green Coop Roof Advice/Opinions Wanted

Seeking advice on modifying my slanted coop roof with a Green/Living/Ecoroof. Please see photo of coop at link below. I'm concerned about possible runoff from rain; I wouldn't want the egg collection box to get hammered by water. Would adding a gutter resolve this? Your comments are appreciated.

I would say that the gutters who be your best bet. With the gutters you could now collect the rain and use it for your flock.

I love that coop, and have been thinking of building a very similar one. Do you have any additional photos of it from other angles?

I don't know anything about green roofs, however I do know a good looking coop when I see one. And that is a good looking coop.

Hi,

I have a green roof on my coop. The slope of the roof is not as steep as yours. I basically made a wooden "bath tub" then with aluminum flashing and roofing tar sealed it up except for a 1 inch gap at the low end of the slope for drainage. I put some wire mesh over the drainage gap some gravel and rock behind that then dirt.
