"Green" Coop

My husband built me this coop using 100% recycled wood and materials! The only thing we paid for was the chicken wire! I LOVE it's rustic look and subtle earthly feel!

Very nice! All of my coops are made out of scrap wood, but none of them look that pretty.

Thank you! The hubby and I are very pleased! We wanted to use recycled materials but I still wanted it to look nice. My hubby hand picked each piece for me to add character and charm. We will be building a second one this spring using more recycled wood. I'lol be sure to post more pics!

Very nice! I like that rustic, recycled look also. I will start building my coop in March. I just hope I can find/buy enough old, recycled wood before I start building.

Thank you!! Yes, it was already like that. We have several old barns and buildings on our property that needed to be torn down. We tried to save as much wood as we could. My DH picked the best pieces he could find for the coop.

Thank you! They are sturdy old tree branches that we found on our property. We've actually added one more since these pictures. It's my favorite, it's shaped like a C, sort of, and is mounted on the opposite side of the coop from the others. Only my "Top" hens get to perch on that one!
