Green Eggs And Ham Grandma

Those are the greenest eggs I have ever seen.! Quite beautiful...and I thought my pale turquoise eggs from my EE were a sight to behold. I gave my mother a carton of eggs that had all the different sizes, shapes, colors from my hens and when she opened it, she gasped -OH HOW CUTE!!! I was pleased with her reaction - need to take her another carton. I sold one lady a carton for $2 and will sell some more to pay for their feed. I love the way the yolks stand up so high like big gold marbles sitting on top of the white. I hope to get some dark green eggs one day - perhaps my EE will mate with my 'whopper' brown egg layer - a LBrahma, and the result will be a HUMONGOUS green egg. I really can't get over how 'green' those eggs are, and I'd like to see the hen who laid them also.

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. I never meant to thread hijack. I do have my own thread titled "Green Eggs and Ham" that I recently started because I have my first grandbaby (Khloe, now 6 weeks old) and someone gave me the book after hearing about my grandbaby and the green eggs. I also have all information posted on the "Official Olive Egger Thread". You'll find pics of the parents, the chicks hatching from these eggs, and the eggs themselves on the Olive Egger Thread.

Just mix a dark brown egg layer, like a BC Marans, with a blue/green egg layer, like an EE and voila - dark olive green eggs.

When I hear green eggs & ham I recall my navy days aboard an aircraft carrier. After 2 weeks at sea the fresh eggs where gone & the crew ate Green powdered eggs& ham. Takes alot of eggs to feed a crew of 5,000

I thought it was so cute!!...that a child could see the beauty of something so simple in life, and move it further...that is what life use to be about, the Simple things in life...awwwh, to go back to those days...of innocence.

Heck, I never intended to sell eggs...co workers just started asking me, and I took some up to work, they asked me for a price...I said awwh, whatever...and they handed me 3.-- and 4.00 a dozen! are you all crazy? I said no, its ok...2.50 is ok...but nope I still get handed the higher price for eggs...my local feed store sells them at 2.50

Im not complaining I put the $ back into my babies. Feed, treats, whatever they might need, right now its another coop. but after all I AM THE CREATOR OF GREEN EGGS...for HAM...
