This is the plan. Likely the F1 pullets will not lay Olive color eggs, but the Backcross to production type will do. I will Backcross until I get true Olive

Thanks for the feedbackI'm voting blue because my blue eggs seem to receive better feedback than my greens. Also the eggs from my F1 Araucana/Leghorns are larger than my F1 Araucana/production browns
Would you rather pay extra for colorful eggs laid by hens that live in a farm with a rooster? or white store bought eggs? Not sure what you mean by premium?
Neither, but just because an egg is blue or green or pink or whatever doesn’t mean it has more value than a white or brown egg. If given a choice to pay $4 for a dozen white eggs at the store vs $5 for a dozen blue and/or green eggs I’m going to pick the cheaper option. That’s the reality of people being on hard times. My kids don’t care what color the shells are as long as they have full bellies. I still don’t understand why the color of eggs determines whether they are premium or not.Would you rather pay extra for colorful eggs laid by hens that live in a farm with a rooster? or white store bought eggs?
There are many things people don't understand or comprehend.I still don’t understand why the color of eggs determines whether they are premium or not.
Yes there are, but this is something that makes zero sense and I feel like it takes advantage of people who don’t know any better. Just because the egg is blue or green does not mean anything other than the shell is blue or green. To imply that it’s premium for that reason is a lie. There are many things people don't understand or comprehend.
