If i get a green egg from someone that i buy them from is it because of the age of the eggs or what

I apologize if you know this, but you are aware there are chickens that lay "green" eggs right? Unless you mean the inside of the egg.

If it's just the shell you are fine.
EE eggs are the only egg that the shell color goes all the way through. A brown eggs color is just deposited on the outside.

Is it raw or hard boiled? If you boil an egg too long the outside of the yolk turns green and rubs off a little on the white. They are still fine to eat. Happens to me all the time when I forget they are cooking.

I am so glad you asked this question... before we had chickens, I got eggs from the grocery store and more than one time there were green eggs. If I am reading what you wrote correctly, it sounds like exactly what I saw. The inside of the egg where you expect the clear to be, there was a light green tint. I do not know what causes it, I never could bring my self to eat it. I am so curious to see what people have to say. I also wonder what causes this.
