Is this possible? I ordered 20 Chanteclers and received 12. (The breeder said they had a fertility problem). Then out of those 12, I lost 5 chicks. I had 85 chicks, 7 different varieties and only lost Chanteclers. Now they are four weeks old and two of the remaining Chanteclers have GREEN legs. What is going on? Are they purebred or did somebody "jump the fence"? Do you think they are white EEs or is it just poor quality Chanteclers? The green legged chicks still have the cushion comb and are about the same size as the other Chanteclers and they are not nearly as feathered as the EEs that were purchased as EEs.
