green legs! Tell me all about them please

When I've bred my own EE's they all had green or slate legs with peacombs. I bought some EE's that were clearly mixed breeds and the one with a single comb and green legs lays a cream coloured leg. The one with light green almost yellow legs lays a nice blue egg (peacomb). Not sure if that helps but that is my experience. Can you keep them all til adulthood or is that not possible? Personally I would get rid of a good percentage of the single combs and keep a few to see what they lay and I don't really think the leg colour matters so don't fret about that.
