Green Mountain Soy Free Layer

Thank you so much for your quick reply - I think I'll do that. Since I only have 7 chickens, I store the unused feed in the freezer in plastic bins, so doubling up when I buy feed and then mixing the 2 together and storing in freezer should work just fine. And thanks for relieving my calcium concerns too!

My hens have not missed a day in a week knock on wood.... I have feed soy free from day one and switched to green mountain soy free layer pellets once laying.

Great to hear!
I only have 1 laying (6 are almost there - 19 weeks old). She started 10 days ago and has missed only 1 day (followed by a double yolk egg) - They love the GM feed :)

That is excellent to hear!! To be honest, I was very worried about production levels when we launched this feed. We had done extensive testing on large flocks to get the data. The data was very good, but, I was still nervous!! Now, after more than 10k bags have sold, I am very happy that we went ahead with it. I have only had positive reviews on the soy-free feed.

Thank you for the business, and feedback, folks!!! BYC is a great resource, to see/hear what my customers are looking for in a feed.

I MUST be selling well - they (Erikson Grain Mill - MA) were sold out last week .... Thank goodness I have enough to last until they get more!

Not sure (I've only gotten 1 bag and don't recall price since I got it with a bunch of other stuff) - I'm getting more tomorrow morning (it's in - yay!) so will let you know exact cost then :)

Thanks! I was there today and didn't know they had it. I like that it has fish meal.
