Hey y'all, our green queen Cluck Cluck is displaying some questionable traits, so I wanted to see what y'all thought. She's almost 10 weeks old, and while the hatchery will take her back if she's a roo, it would be pretty sad, as her sister is very attached to her. She's always been the braver of the two chicks we got (not really siblings- the other is a gold laced wyandotte)- the first to go towards food at least. She doesn't seem protective of the other chick though, and she'll still run away if you try to catch her. She's also always been bigger and pretty talkative, and her voice is already changing from peeps to clucks (but in-between, so the funny adolescent voice cracks). What made me start seriously questioning whether she's a roo is the tail feathers though, she appears to have started growing some sickle feathers. I saw on this site that sometimes green queen hens can have this trait, and the rest of her appearance doesn't seem too roosterish to me, but I wanted to see what y'all think!
