Green spot or bump on bill???

That's true. When I look for help for my ducks, I often need to look farther than the duck literature. Beaks and bills are somewhat similar, so there is something to be learned here.

one of my 6 weeks old babies woke with the same thing. No other problems though. She is eating, drinking, playing, swimming all as normal..I have tried to research this and found NOTHING. It looks as though its bruised, and is soft. =(

same here, I notice the other ducks are starting to get the same thing! It like a blister on their bill. So soft. I hole her and she doesn't seem to be hurt from it. She eating just fine like the others are. I couldn't take them out today :( cold and raining

yes I think it might have pus inside of it. But I'm not sure, I never seen these before. It just appeared the next day. It is soft, it like blister on hand, easy to bust.

I provided photos to a waterfowl rescue and rehabilitation center. They also suggested it was a bruise and should go away on its own. I have been keeping careful eye on my Lucy. She is still active, eating and drinking. She does not show signs of discomfort or pain. So I will just wait and see. None of the other ducklings appear to be affected by this either.

I HAVE noticed on occasion though that one of the other ducklings will "strike out" at her. Maybe she was pinched on the bill?

I've noticed a decrease in the amount of discolor in Lucy's bill. After a few days, the swelling is gone and the bruising has faded greatly! =)

Thank you soo much, Epsom salts helped lot on my duck's bill. It took some while to heal (2 weeks) But it sure did work! :)
Sorry for late comment
