Green Squirts

My son is worried about his Silver Laced Wyandotte rooster. He is just not himself. I noticed that he has green squirts for poo and he has not crowed the last few days. My son said he saw liquid come out of the rooster's mouth when he was pecking in the yard. I separated him and started him on antibiotics. Figured it couldn't hurt and that way my son thinks I am doing all I can. Anything else I could check? Any suggestions? Taking him to the vet is not an affordable option.

Waited anxiously to hear his crowing this morning but no such luck. When I went up to check on him he is very listless, just sitting in his isolation. Should I force liquid antibiotics in him? This is my son's 4-H project (his first time) and he will be devastated if he were to die.

Since you know he is sick I would advocate doing something rather than nothing. Yes I would give him anti-biotics. You probably don't want to force it. Can you give him injections? I'd also do vitamins & electrolights. Anything he will eat and maybe a little sugarwater for energy. Maybe try some live culture yogurt for his insides.

Does his crop seem like it is impacted (Large and hard)?
