I went to their site and was floored by the prices. Jaw dropping spendy. I thought maybe the prices were for 6 or more but found they were for singles. $49 at a minimum for a day old chick.

What is their customer profile?

People with way more money then sense. That want to pay a bunch of money for culls.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I look at most of these pictures & see junk birds.
that seems harsh to insult someone's birds. I think they are beautiful birds. The same quality as you would get from a real breeder? Maybe not, but they are still attractive birds.

If you want to criticize the company than all power to you, but don't make it personal against someone who was simply replying.

Y'all do know NYREDS is a highly respected and very experienced APA judge right? Not like it's just an opinion he's spouting off.
I still felt it came off rather nasty towards the person who posted the pictures. I'm not negating nyreds expertise (though I have no clue who they are), just pointing out that the post was sort of tactless.

That's what I was saying, I don't care who you are mind your manners. I realize most of these birds are not even in the APA standard but that was not what we are going for. We have American birds also but these are obviously not and any one picking up a standard would find out they are not recognized. Colors or breeds but even the excepted breeds were not at one time. Unless we have came so far we can not remember so.

Like I said everyone is welcome to their opinion, it is a free country. I love my birds and do what I can to improve type and color after I receive them.

I personally have never purchased from Greenfire Farms, due to their prices. It's crazy! I usually just purchase eggs/chicks from breeders who have Greenfire lines, but have 'improved' them by adding birds from different lines into their flock. MUCH better prices and quality.
