Greenhouse to coop

Guys! The OP lives in Anchorage Alaska! I don't think a green-house - with some good ventilation - would be too hot in the short Alaskan summer. I would be more worried about tbeing too cold in winter. PolyCarbonate is not a good insulator, you might have to cover some of the surfaces with styrofoam.

I did see the location.

Here in balmy Colorado my car will heat to well above 50° when outside temps are in the low teens so long as the sun is shining.
;)

What is the framing made of?

If it's metal it would be very difficult to modify it for housing birds.

You'll need to consider the strength of the structure for snow load as well as what predators you have when modifying it.

My opinion is if it is wood framed it may be worth modifying. If it's metal frame I would likely scrap it and build a wood coop.
If going from scratch with a wood coop a few of the polycarb panels could be used to make windows.....
It is made out of wood. So I will probably remodel it, Also should I use wood to replace the polycarb?

I would certainly do that.

Having windows from the polycarb would be great! Just not the whole thing of polycarb.

If you want I can post a pic of how my windows are on my big coop.

I had smoked lexan on hand so used that. I think polycarb should work the same way if its the flat sheets.
Simple 1x4 framing and piano hinges.

This coop is 8x14 and has 11 windows.

Because of the vented soffits it does not heat up in winter or summer.

Ventilation is critical to keeping healthy birds.

I converted a green fiberglass metal framed green house into a chicken house. I am a newbie just starting out this June so still learning. So far so good. I live in Oklahoma so i know this summer is going to be a scorcher in it so i do plan on adding a greenhouse exhaust fan to pump the hot air out to keep it bearable for them. But its working great so far this winter.
