I am in the planning stage of converting a greenhouse of sorts into a hoop coop. I have a few ideas for it and know that HWC is a given. I am leaning towards a large tarp instead of corrugated panel for cost and ease reasons. I would like to hear more thoughts and ideas to be able to make the most of it. TIA

You have a great start on something. To me, that table is screaming out to be repurposed as a poop board .... but that may not fit what you're trying to do.

Here are lots of good ideas to get you going.

Take note of how @21hens-incharge 's approached covering the run with cool plastic clips and shade cloth. I found some of those clips on Amazon and they're working very nicely.

I've been using landscape fabric to cover my hoop run - an idea I lifted from Blooie's Motel Chix:

Shade cloth / landscape fabric are nice from letting air move through them. In Northern Florida, I'd think you'd want a good deal of open ventilation. They're great for a run ... but for a coop, you'll probably need something with rain proof coverage. @mowin 's 1/2 tarp coverage could be useful there.

I've seen the idea of used billboard fabric mentioned before, too.

That was the article that got me thinking about it.

Thanks, with it being somewhat mostly framed, I thought it would be the most cost effective way to add to the flock. If I flip the table part over, it will hold the pine flakes....just need to add a roost over it.

I'm planning full coverage on the sides, one end fully open, top 1/3-1/2 open on the other. Re-running the run to include the this coop. Use this one for integration (picking some to keep and eating the rest. But if this works out like I envision, I'll end up needing another coop/tractor for meaties. Why integrate just to harvest later?
