My chickens LOVE kale! I have been working on removing my first planting of kale from the garden a few plants at a time, and what I am not using I throw in to the ladies. They run so fast to get to it, and completely gobble it up. Amazing! I think it's their absolute favorite treat so far.
They have given mixed reviews on Swiss chard and lettuces. In fact, there's half a head of leaf lettuce in their being completely ignored...
I know kale is loaded with lots of vitamins, so it makes me wonder if there's something in there they are lacking in their diet.
