Greens when grass is gone

I don't have time to grow greens for all my chickens.
I do buy bales of Alfalfa hay and toss a leaf in the run on a regular bases. they pick through it and eat all the soft grass. Lots of protein.

I have thought about buying bails of fresh alfalfa, but no one grows it around here. I guess I'll have to settle for soaking pellets. They weren't to crazy for it the first week I feed it to them, but now they scarf it down and never leave any.
