Greeting ….Newbie Foster Dad to flock of 42

I miss my horses too, I had some amazing ones. Life circumstances took me away from my little place in Idaho, I sold all my horses, I was without them for about 8 years, we just got a TB broodmare 2 years ago, she's due to foal this spring. She's not the same as the horses I had before, she's dingy, doesn't know where her feet are, as far as I can tell there's nothing wrong with her eyesight. She came off the track, I'm assuming she was raised in perfectly flat paddocks and stall kept.

That's wonderful you chose to take care of your mother, family is darn special. My mom and I lived on opposite coasts, I hadn't seen her in 5 years, then she retired and moved about 25 minutes away from me, it's be great to be able to see her regularly again.
My mother was an amazing woman. The strongest lady I’ve ever known . She came to the States (Mize , MS🙄)in 1969 from Athens , Greece. She had 3 young boys when my dad walked out on her. She not only overcame the language barrier as well as many other obstacles , but she put herself thru college while working 2 jobs… Evangelia Papagianny (my mom) went on to earn her teaching degree and eventually became the principal at a local special needs facility .

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow I enjoyed your intro, pictures and further explanations. You have quite a great story to tell and so much good to show for it as well. I know nothing about gamebirds as I stick to one breed, but whatever yours are, they are stunning! Love 'em! :love

She sounds very very amazing 😊 thanks for sharing a part of her story. It sounds like she was not only intelligent but also had a huge heart, what a gift ❤
