Have you explored the emu threads on BYC ? You need fencing to keep emus in, and it's best if the land isn't heavily forested because they get running spells and can injure or kill themselves bouncing off of trees. You may want to wear safety glasses or goggles, they go after shiny things like eyes, earrings and teeth - with unpleasant results for the humans. If you visit "Stella's social club," you will meet The Sheriff, who is thread starter. She has two pair of mature emus and often speaks of them or posts videos. We have known them since she hatched the eggs.
